Baklingual Solutions proudly offers an intensive, instructor-led 40-hour medical interpreter training course delivered online over five consecutive days. The course fulfills the 40-hour prerequisite requirement for CCHI and NBCMI national certification, and it is also listed on the CCHI website and in the IMIA Education Registry (recommended by NBCMI), making it an excellent option both for beginners entering the field and for experienced interpreters preparing for national certification (CCHI/NBCMI). The course combines live instruction, hands-on practice, scenario-based training, structured feedback, and direct instructor support to develop strong interpreting performance in real healthcare settings.
Delivered in small groups (8–10 participants) via Microsoft Teams (live online format), the course provides real-time coaching, guided practice in consecutive and sight translation, and targeted evaluation in a focused and supportive learning environment.
One of the program’s key strengths is its concise, bullet-point study materials, focused strictly on the most essential concepts required for professional medical interpretation. Even complex topics are presented in a clear, structured, and easy-to-understand format—without unnecessary theory or information overload.
Equally important is the course’s highly interactive live format, designed to keep participants actively engaged through practical application, guided discussion, and real-time exercises. The training emphasizes only what truly matters—practical skills and essential knowledge—delivered in a focused and accessible manner.
The course fulfills the 40-hour prerequisite requirement for CCHI and NBCMI certification and aligns with Boostlingo’s medical interpreter training standards.
Interpreting performance is assessed by a certified instructor using industry best practices, with personalized coaching and feedback provided throughout the training.
Although the language of instruction is English, the course is non-language-specific and designed to be suitable for interpreters working in any language pair. It is especially popular among interpreters working in high-demand language pairs such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Haitian Creole, Russian, Ukrainian, Farsi, Urdu, Arabic, and many other languages paired with English.
Students receive core medical glossaries in their target language, practice exercises tailored to their language pair, and realistic interpreting scenarios designed for application in their working languages. Performance is assessed using industry best practices, allowing interpreters to apply the training directly to their professional work while preparing for national certification.
This course is led by Bakhtiyor (Bak) Khodjayev, M.A., Hub-CMI, LSSBB, a certified interpreter, trainer, and consultant with over 15 years of professional experience in language industry, training, and consulting.
